Holiday Cards and Hay For The Holidays

Last year we asked everyone to send us a card to decorate the barn and include a dollar.  It made the barn very festive and all of our volunteers and visitors enjoyed seeing and reading the beautiful cards.  Folks sent cards to their favorite horses with Rosebud getting the most and the “Pesky Pony” crowd coming in with a close second.

2010 Holiday Cards

This year, we will be using all the funds received to buy “Hay for the Holidays”.   Your cards can be sent to your favorite horse, C/O CVHR, 389 Boydton Plank Road, Brodnax, VA 23920.  If you can include a dollar, we will be able to buy extra hay for the horses.  During the cold winter nights of January and February, we generally feed everyone square bales with their dinner and then they have round bales available in the pasture to keep warm.
