Magic’s VibraVM

Magic’s VibraVM arrived yesterday.  He has now had two treatments.  Yesterday’s treatment was  to acclimate him to the VibraVM and the noise it makes.  Also to allow something to touch his nose which he hates because of the Albuterol inhaler.  He likes the VibraVM much better and actually relaxes into it after a few minutes.

I wanted to share this video with you.  The first one is Magic prior to starting treatment with the VibraVM.

You can see in the video that he is tipping his head up and flaring his nostrils when he tries to inhale. At the end of the video you can also hear the noise he is making when he breathes. I apologize for the quality of the video but it is the best my cell phone can do.

This next clip is Magic after his second treatment.  This treatment was much easier.  He would let me put the VibraVm snugly against his nose for the maximum benefit.  As you can see from this clip, he is not having to tip his head up or flare his nostrils to breathe.

He was having difficulty breathing this morning prior to treatment.  It was much the same as yesterday before his treatment.   Our next obstacle is to see how long the treatments last for him and if we make positive progress.
